Workshops/Series
At SafeFutures, we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for youths to explore, learn, and grow. We organize a variety of exciting workshops and series that are designed to help young people develop new skills, meet new friends, and discover the opportunities available in their community. Our team takes great care to collect survey data on what youths want to talk about or learn, so we can tailor our programs to meet their specific needs and interests. By integrating their feedback into our programs, we create spaces where young people can inspire and learn from each other.
Our team is also committed to keeping up to date with the current issues and challenges facing our community. We believe that bringing people together is one of the best ways to address these issues, which is why we organize monthly workshops. These workshops are designed to provide a safe and inclusive space for young people to connect with each other and with the broader community. They are a chance to learn about new topics, engage in meaningful discussions, and have fun.
We also believe in recognizing the contributions of our participants, which is why we sometimes offer stipends for their involvement in our workshops. This is just one small way we can show our appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
At SafeFutures, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can thrive. Our workshops and programs are designed to help them develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in life.

In the wake of the pandemic, many young individuals were facing the challenge of anxiety. As they were trying to navigate the world around them, it was difficult to find a sense of normalcy. But by coming together in this month-long workshop, we focused on self-care, and developed powerful tools to help us cope with the struggles they were identifying. Our team was dedicated to motivating the youth to keep pushing forward and supporting one another in our journey towards mental wellness.
SafeFutures organized a workshop on cultural diversity and awareness. We talked about supporting businesses owned by people of color and entrepreneurship. Youth participants asked business owners questions about ownership. The youth were able to support a business of color and enjoyed a meal at Cafe Ibex, a local Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle

During an exciting workshop, young individuals focused on different aspects of entrepreneurship, particularly on creating and owning a brand. The participants were divided into groups and were asked to come up with a brand idea. They came up with numerous creative ideas and then proceeded to design their logos digitally. The logos were printed, and the SafeFutures team even surprised the youth by putting them on t-shirts. Witnessing their brand ideas come to life was an awesome experience for everyone involved.
